Press Row Podcast
Press Row Podcast - World Cup, Out of the Park, and FIFA

The 81st edition of the Press Row Podcast is a special episode, split into three distinct parts. Up first, host Rich Grisham welcomes Bryan Wiedey, Corey Andress, and Jeremy Stein for a 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Review Roundtable. Next, Rich and Bryan sit down with Out of the Park Baseball’s Brad Cook to dive deep into the brand new PC/Mac and mobile editions of that super-deep baseball simulator. Lastly, Rich, Bryan, Corey, and Jeremy return for an extensive look at the FIFA franchise as a whole – where it is, where it’s going, why so many people seem to love it, ways that it frustrates newcomers, and how it could potentially grow even more this generation. It’s a jam-packed show that raises a lot of great points.

Press Row Podcast - PAX East 2014 Panel

In the 80th episode of the Press Row Podcast, we feature our Press Row Podcast PAX East 2014 panel in its entirety. Titled “The Crisis in Sports Games”, the group takes a look at the state of sports games from the Consumer, Developer, and Publisher standpoint. Do game purchasers have enough choices? Do they get enough value from their games? Where are the arcade titles? Is too much asked of developers in too short of a time frame? Can publishers make enough money with expensive license and development costs? These questions and many more are posed and debated in front of a live audience.

A special thanks to the great people at PAX East 2014 for accepting our panel! We had a great time and hope to be back next year for the third straight PAX!

Press Row Podcast - PAX East Preview with Garnett Lee

In the 79th episode of the Press Row Podcast, we preview our exciting PAX East 2014 Press Row Podcast panel with a one-on-one interview featuring host Rich Grisham and the one and only Garnett Lee. The two go through the key elements of the PAX East panel, including a view from the consumer, the developer, and the publisher aspect of participating in the current sports video game environment. Garnett Lee delivers the goods with insight and perspective that only he can provide – and while we’d love to have him on our panel in Boston, the next best thing is having him on this special episode.
