Press Row Podcast
Press Row Podcast - Fields of Dreams

In the 77th episode of the Press Row Podcast, the largest panel to date gathers to discuss baseball “outside the box” as we near the start of the real and virtual hardball seasons. The entire episode is focused on different ways the panelists would like to experience baseball – from historical options to new online features to immersive technology. It’s a very different episode than we’ve ever done; each panelist is given the opportunity to present their idea and have the rest of the crew react (positively or not).

Do you want to play baseball in new and different way too? Let us know in the comments below, tweet at us, or shoot us an email.

Press Row Podcast - FIFA World Cup Brazil Developer One-on-One

In the 76th episode of the Press Row Podcast, host Rich Grisham (@richgrisham) has a one-on-one sit-down with FIFA World Cup Brazil creative director Matt Prior. The two discuss a number of topics surrounding the game as well as the tournament itself – how the team distinguishes World Cup from its annual counterpart, the approach the developers take to best represent the distinct atmosphere that a World Cup represents, the new and returning modes specific to a World Cup video game, the tough decision to eschew the PS4/Xbox One/PC, and much more. It’s a fun conversation that sheds light on how and why the FIFA team designed their World Cup game the way they did.

Press Row Podcast - Desert Island Sports

In the 75th episode of the Press Row Podcast, we have some fun discussing what we’ve been playing and some reaction to hands-on time with the eagerly-anticipated MLB 14 The Show on the PS4. After that, though, the heart of the show deals with a fun conversation about each panelist’s all-time “desert island” single player, couch co-op, and online multiplayer sports games. It’s topped off by the all-time “desert island” sports gaming system. What would your choice be?
